Clinical Research Coordinator Training and SoCRA Certification Exam
The Oregon Clinical and Translational Research Institute invites you to participate in the following events this fall:
Quarterly Clinical Research Coordinator Training Workshop
September 26 & 27, 2012
Designed to provide a basic framework of the role and responsibilities of the research coordinator, the regulatory and policy requirements for appropriate conduct of clinical research at OHSU, and tools to assist coordinators to successfully perform their role. This workshop is open at no cost to all OHSU employees. Registration is required and will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. This course has been approved by the OHSU School of Nursing for 13.50 Continuing Nursing Education contact hours. Please contact Jennifer Kepler with any questions.
Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) Clinical Research Professional Certification (CCRP) Examination
October 26, 2012, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, in Mac Hall 1162
This certification examination is conducted by SoCRA at OHSU and is made up of five major subject areas: Conduct of Clinical Trials, Institutional Review Boards and Regulations, Ethical Issues, Ability to Follow Instructions, Abstracting Information from Medical Records. You must have a current SoCRA membership in addition to two or more years’ experience in clinical research, and meet all of the eligibility requirements in order to register for the exam.
