Fourth Annual Jungers Center Symposium, May 8

The Fourth Annual Jungers Center Symposium, “New Imaging Technologies, New Insights Into the Brain,” will be taking place from 9 a..m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 in the Doernbecher Vey Auditorium. This year’s speakers include:

  • Jeff Lichtman, M.D., professor of molecular and cellular biology from Harvard University on “Using Connectomics to Reveal Circuit Motifs”
  • Tim Holy, Ph.D., associate professor of anatomy and neurobiology from Washington University in St. Louis on “Getting a Feeling for the Circuit: Imaging Neuronal Ensembles with Objective-Coupled Planar Illumination Microscopy”
  • Tianyi Mao, Ph.D., assistant scientist at OHSU’s Vollum Institute on “Imaging of Functional Connectivity in Cortical and Subcortical Circuits”
  • Tim Murphy, Ph.D., professor of psychiatry and cellular and physiological sciences from the University of British Columbia on “In Vivo Imaging of Cortical Circuits, Before, During and After Ischemia”
