CROET Lectures: Norbert O. Reich, Ph.D. and Orfeu M. Buxton, Ph.D.
The Center for Research on Occupational & Environmental Toxicology (CROET) is pleased to be hosting scientific presentations from two distinguished visiting scientists next week.
Norbert O. Reich, Ph.D., Professor, Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of California, Santa Barbara will speak on Monday, April 16 at noon in room 8B60 of the University Hospital. The subject of Dr. Reich’s presentation will be “Protein traffic on DNA: The mechanism of processive DNA methylation and its importance for bacterial virulence and human health.”
Orfeu M. Buxton, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Division of Sleep Medicine, Harvard Medical School/Associate Neuroscientist, Department of Medicine, Brigham and Women’s Hospital Boston, MA will speak on Tuesday, April 17 at noon in Richard Jones Hall room 3524. Dr. Buxton will be discussing the “Causes and Consequences of Sleep Deficiency: Clinical and Workforce Impacts.”
