Pediatric cancer fellowship from Damon Runyon, applications due March 15
The Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation, in partnership with the Sohn Conference Foundation, has announced a new $1.5 million pediatric cancer fellowship program. The program will provide funding to basic scientists and clinicians whose research has the potential to significantly impact the prevention, diagnosis or treatment of one or more pediatric cancers. Funding of up to $62,000 per year for three years is provided to qualifying fellows.
To be eligible, applicants must have completed an M.D., Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., D.D.S., or D.V.M. program. Candidates must apply for the fellowship under the guidance of a sponsor—a scientist (tenured, tenure-track or equivalent position) capable of providing mentorship to the fellow. The deadline to apply is March 15, 2012.
