Internal pediatric cancer research funding, applications due Jan. 20
Umpqua Bank, in conjunction with OHSU’s Knight Cancer Institute and Doernbecher Children’s Hospital is offering $10,000 grants for Innovation in Pediatric Cancer Research. The purpose of this award is to cultivate outstanding, young pediatric cancer researchers (clinical, translational or basic science) by assisting in the generation of preliminary data for peer-reviewed national funding or career development proposals. Applications are due January 20, 2012.
Proposals will be accepted from OHSU faculty members within five years of their first faculty appointment or postdoctoral fellows in transition to independent funding. The five year time limit is from first career faculty appointment, not OHSU-specific faculty appointment.
