Geriatric seminar: Managing Behavioral Symptoms in Dementia – Nov. 10
Join the Portland VA Medical Center (PVAMC) and OHSU School of Nursing for a seminar on Managing Behavioral Symptoms in Dementia: Non-Pharmacological and Pharmacological Interventions on Thursday, November 10 from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. in the School of Nursing Founders Auditorium Room 114. Sarah Goodlin, M.D., physician at the PVAMC; Terri Harvath, Ph.D., R.N., C.N.S., professor at OHSU’s School of Nursing; Jennifer Lawrence, M.S.W., M.A., research associate at OHSU; and David Mansoor, M.D., assistant professor of geriatric psychiatry at OHSU, will explore evidence-based interventions available to health care providers caring for clients with difficult or disruptive symptoms related to dementia.
