xTrain update: Correction deadline extended to Nov. 9
As announced at the October Research Administration Information Network (RAIN) meeting, the window of opportunity for corrections in xTrain has been extended. The NIH eRA system-wide release of the new Training Activities (TA) module will be postponed to November 9 – 10 to allow more testing. Retirement of the existing module will be postponed until the new release, but will no longer be available after Wednesday, November 9, 2011.
You and your NIH Grant Management Specialist (GMS) have until that deadline to process remaining paper appointments and termination notices. To expedite the processing and avoid a last-minute rush, check your Trainee roster and address any inconsistencies before the deadline by contacting your GMS as soon as possible. That contact name and number are listed on the last notice of award.
