Are you planning on submitting an application to the new Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI)? Come to an informational and strategy planning meeting on Tuesday, November 8 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in
Mac Hall 2136, hosted by Rachel Dresbeck, PhD, director of Research Funding and Development Services, and John McConnell, PhD, director of OHSU’s Center for Health Systems Effectiveness.
Topics covered at the meeting will include:
- Differences between the NIH and PCORI application forms,
- How Research Grants and Contracts will be working with the investigators on PCORI applications, and
- Identifying potential collaborators.

PCORI is a new organization, formed under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, that will be offering funds for health services and “patient centered” research that will be an alternative to NIH and AHRQ funding.
