Urgent: Window Closing for Correction of Trainee Rosters in xTrain

For those who manage Training Grants, this xTrain news needs your attention as soon as possible. In the transition from paper to electronic filing through xTrain in eRA Commons, a system has been in place for NIH Grant Management Specialists to manually enter these forms. This system will be retired effective October 21, 2011 after which time, inaccurate information will not be correctible. This includes stipend level amounts, degree levels, and missing appointment years. As a result, Termination Notices will not properly auto-fill and those trainees will not be able to be terminated or reappointed to other Training Grants or move on to other Fellowships.
At this time we are asking those who manage Training Grants to review appointments and terminations for all trainees who have been appointed in the current noncompeting cycle. Any errors or omissions need to be corrected immediately. Resources to support the use of xTrain can be found at http://www.ohsu.edu/research/rda/spa/nrsa.shtml. Please contact Margaret Gardner for further assistance.
