Vollum Institute ventilation maintenance, July 29
Every so often, your building requires routine maintenance to improve heating, cooling and chemical/fume hood services. This Friday, it’s the Vollum Institute’s turn. If you work in the Vollum, here’s what you need to know:
- On Friday, July 29, 2011 from 4 to 9 a.m., all floors of the Vollum Institute will be affected by routine maintenance of the ventilation system.
- Chemical/fume hoods will not be available during this time. Please close your hood sashes Thursday evening.
- There may be periodic loss of supply and exhaust air, and temperature fluctuations in labs and office spaces.
Visit the Facilities & Logistics blog for a poster you can attach to your chemical/fume hoods as well as bulletin boards in your area. Questions or concerns? Contact Mark McFarland, preventive maintenance coordinator for university buildings, at ext. 4-7990 no later than 12 p.m. on Thursday, July 28.
