Info Session: Technology Entrepreneurship Certificate, July 22
OHSU graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty: Have you ever wondered about technology commercialization and how it might apply to your research?
Consider learning more about the Health Sciences Technology Entrepreneurship Certificate, a program jointly offered by OHSU’s Heart Research Center and the University of Portland.
If you think you might be interested, the Heart Research Center is holding a drop-in information session on Friday, July 22 at 1:00 pm in CHH 14000. Information can also be obtained by emailing heart@ohsu.edu. The program application deadline has been extended to August 1.
Program alumna Adriana Andrade, Class of 2010, shares this perspective:
“In an academic setting, we are often unaware of the whole commercialization process by which the discoveries that take place at the lab bench make their way into our everyday lives. Now I have a much deeper understanding of the process… I believe the knowledge I have gained will prove invaluable for potential industry collaborations and in searching for funding in my future career.”
