xTrain: Updates & Troubleshooting
Anyone currently involved in preparing and submitting Statement of Appointment forms and Termination Notices associated with institutional research training programs, institutional career development awards, individual fellowships and research education awards may now refer to the newest xTrain User’s Guide from NIH. It’s as easy as clicking on a topic in the Table of Contents to navigate through this definitive resource. Updates include helpful illustrations as well as the latest list of xTrain Activity Codes.
xTrain users will benefit from getting more familiar with the module and checking Trainee Rosters in advance of due dates for Appointments and Termination Notifications. The most common delay-causing issues include:
- Trainee Roster errors
- Duplicate Trainee or PI accounts
- Trainee account set-up errors
