National Science Foundation workshop at Oregon State, April 13
The National Science Foundation (NSF) and Oregon State University (OSU) invite OHSU researchers to a one-day workshop on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the Oregon State campus. This workshop is primarily designed to benefit researchers and educators less experienced in proposing to NSF. However, experienced investigators and NSF awardees may find the workshop useful and informative as well and are encouraged to attend.
The workshop will provide an overview of the Foundation, including its mission, priorities, and budget. The workshop will cover the NSF proposal and merit review process as well as the NSF programs that cut across disciplines. Additionally, representatives from the seven NSF Directorates and the Office of International Science and Engineering and the Office of Integrative Activities will make presentations about their programs. They will also be available informally and in breakout sessions for discussions of potential research proposals.
The workshop will be held at the OSU Conference Center at the Oregon State campus. There is a $15 registration fee to cover the cost of lunch.
Space is limited. Please register on the OSU Conference Center web site by Friday, April 8.
