National Mentoring Month & Community Fair, Jan 27

What: National Mentoring Month & Community Fair, featuring keynote speaker Nate Waas Shull
When: Thursday, January 27 from noon to 2:30 p.m.
Where: OHSU Auditorium
This year marks the 11th anniversary of National Mentoring Month, which focuses on the need for increased mentorship to assure brighter futures for our youth. Research has shown that volunteer mentors can play a powerful role in boosting academic achievement.
OHSU’s Center for Diversity & Multicultural Affairs will be hosting a lecture by Nate Waas Shull, Director of Community Engagement at the Portland Schools Foundation. An informational fair with community and mentoring groups will follow. Faculty, students, and staff are encouraged to attend.
