Coming soon: An intramural-extramural clinical researcher development program

The NIH and Lasker Foundation have teamed up to create the Lasker Clinical Research Scholars Program, an unprecedented “intramural-extramural” career development program for exceptional clinical researchers. This two-phase program will provide its participants with up to 11 years of funding, first as part of the NIH Intramural Research Program (IRP), then as independent investigators at either the IRP or an extramural research institution. Scholars will also be invited to annual scientific meetings and other events by the Lasker Foundation.

Applications for this program will be solicited in the near future. In the meantime, you can learn more by reading the NIH Notice (NOT-OD-11-030) or by visiting the Lasker Scholars webpage.
