NSF seeks your input on the future of social, behavioral, and economic sciences
In a Dear Colleague letter issued this week, the Directorate for Social, Behavioral, and Economic Sciences at the National Science Foundation (NSF/SBE) invites researchers “to step outside of present demands and think boldy” about research in 2020 and beyond. NSF/SBE asks individuals and groups of scientists to submit white papers that address grand challenges for future SBE research, which spans a broad and varied landscape from how we study the human brain to understanding the social web in which we live. Submissions, which are due September 30, 2010, will be shared widely via the Internet to spark conversations and guide NSF/SBE strategic planning.
