Funding Focus: PMCID, PMID and My Bibliography (Thurs., Aug. 12)

Funding Focus is back to its regular day and time this August with a presentation from the OHSU Library—PMCID, PMID and My Bibliography. The workshop will be held on Thursday, August 12 from noon to 1 p.m. in Mac Hall 2201. It’s open to all faculty, researchers, students, and research administrators at OHSU.

As we mentioned in a recent blog post, OHSU librarians have been studying up on the new NIH Public Access Policy so that they can help you with your submission and compliance questions relating to PMCID numbers—an identification number that links NIH-funded grants to the full text of your publication—and more. Our speaker will help you understand what needs to be submitted to PubMed Central, then she will walk you through the process of how to submit. If you’ve had questions about My Bibliography, or you’re still wondering about the difference between a PMID and a PMCID, this month’s workshop is for you.

What: PMCID, PMID and My Bibliography
When: Thursday, August 12, 2010
Time: 12:00 noon – 1:00 pm
Where: Mac Hall 2201
Presenter: Emily Ford, Scholarly Communication Librarian, Assistant Professor, OHSU Library

This presentation is one of a series of workshops that Research Funding and Development Services (RFDS) offers throughout the year, designed to share advice, tips, and general information on funding for the OHSU research community.

If you are unable to attend, we will post a recorded video of the presentation as well as any handouts here no later than the following Monday.
