Last week, we mentioned that OHSU has been awarded three new Shared Instrumentation Grants (S10s) from the NIH National Center for Research Resources. In addition to a new laser capture microdissection system, ONPRC will recevie a $500,000 grant to upgrade its Siemens 3T (Trio) MRI system system with a Total imaging matrix (Tim) console and hardware components.
The upgrade will provide the ONPRC with the most up-to-date equipment, enhancing speed and image quality for several MRI applications. Plus, it will enable the use of newly developed image acquisition and analysis procedures and seamless transition between MRI instrumentation on ONPRC and Marquam hill campuses.
Like the other ONPRC cores, this resource is available to investigators at OHSU as well as those outside the university. Contact Chris Kroenke, Ph.D., at ONPRC’s Advanced Imaging Research Center for more information.
