Two ARRA funding opportunities for clinical comparative effectiveness research from the AHRQ
Both opportunities due January 20, 2010
Stimulus opportunities are still available: The Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality (AHRQ) released two opportunities as a result of ARRA funds for clinical comparative effectiveness research — one is a standard research R01 grant for what the AHRQ deems, PROSPECT research. PROSPECT (Prospective Outcome Systems using Patient-specific Electronic data to Compare Tests and therapies) Studies will be to advance the quality, depth and scale of the electronic data collection infrastructure as a basis for comparative effectiveness research. The other opportunity is a limited submission (OHSU can submit one application) offering funding for conference support to convene investigators conducting PROSPECT research.
AHRQ Recovery Act 2009 Limited Competition: Electronic Data Methods (EDM) Forum for Comparative Effectiveness Research (U13) **This opportunity requires ELT approval because it is a limited submission opportunity and OHSU can only submit one application. If interested in applying, please email funding@ohsu.edu.
