Confocal and live-cell imaging available at new Advanced Light Microscopy Core Facility
The University Shared Resources program is delighted to announce the opening of the new Advanced Light Microscopy Core at the Jungers Center. This new facility represents a collaboration among several microscopy groups on campus, including the Jungers Center for Neurosciences Research, the Department of Molecular Microbiology & Immunology, and the Oregon Hearing Research Center. The new Shared Resource, staffed by two experienced imaging specialists, can meet many of your confocal and live-cell imaging needs. Instruments include a high-end Zeiss LSM710 laser-scanning and a Nikon/Yokogawa spinning disk confocal microscope, both on inverted microscope stands equipped for live-cell imaging, and a fully automated Applied Precision Core DV live-cell imaging setup with premier deconvolution capabilities. Coming shortly will be a new Olympus FV1000 laser-scanning confocal mounted on an upright microscope stand (purchased with funds from a Shared Instrumentation Grant from NIH, awarded to Peter Gillespie, OHRC). The new facility is located on the 4th floor of the Biomedical Research Building.
Please feel free to contact the Core Director Stefanie Kaech Petrie (kaechs@ohsu.edu) or Aurelie Snyder (snyderau@ohsu.edu) for more information, or stop by for a visit.
