We are pleased to announce that DFJ Frontier (a seed venture capital firm from California) has agreed to lead the Lab2Market Entrepreneurship Academy again this summer. The 2007 and 2008 workshops met with rave reviews. The workshop is a five-day intensive experience that integrates lectures, exercises, and team projects. This program is sponsored by the Portland State University School of Business Administration, the PSU Lab2Market Initiative, OTBC, and the Oregon Health & Science University Division of Management.
Learning Objectives–Through a hands-on approach, participants will learn ways to:
- Navigate the path from research to market
- Manage the dynamics of entrepreneurship
- Evaluate technology/market opportunities
- Write and communicate elevator pitches
- Build and manage interdisciplinary teams
- Find and tap funding opportunities
Intended Audience–Priority will be given to Faculty, Students, and Postdoctoral and other researchers at OHSU, PSU, OSU, UO, and UP. Applications from entrepreneurs not affiliated with these institutions also will be considered.
