A new – and exciting – treatment for stroke

The Oregon Stroke Center at OHSU was a big part of a just-released groundbreaking study on a new treatment for people suffering strokes. The treatment includes use of a temporary stent that opens brain arteries, allowing blood to continue reaching the brain. OHSU has a prominent place in a just-published ESPN The Magazine feature story on former major league baseball player Ben Petrick, who has Parkinson’s disease.
