Sure enough, Oregon’s summer weather started right on schedule. The sun came out on July 5th and its been out ever since. Hopefully, lots of Oregonians have been using their sunscreen…but did you know that eye protection is just as important? Recently, I spoke with Dr. Devin Gattey of OHSU’s Casey Eye Institute, about eye dangers associated with too much sun exposure. Here’s what he had to say:
OK – I admit it. I love this story. Yesterday, I was able to watch as local kids in Head Start received eyeglasses provided through the Elks Children’s Eye Clinic at OHSU’s Casey Eye Institute.
