Portland’s South Waterfront Continues to Take Shape

While working with a reporter on a media story today at OHSU’s Center for Health and Healing, I got a good overview of the many construction projects in Portland’s South Waterfront district. Hopefully its a sign that the economy is on the mend.

Here’s the current overhead view of the OHSU/OUS Collaborative Life Sciences Building which is just beginning to take shape.

Adjacent to that project is the construction of a new light rail/pedestrian bridge across the Willamette.

In addition, the streetcar line is being improved and a pedestrian bridge will soon link the district to other neighborhoods to the west.
