Exiting the Tram…Blaze Style

This past weekend, Portland fire crews were dispatched to Marquam Hill, not to put out a blaze…but to save one.

Each fall the university and the city practice an aerial rescue from the Portland Aerial Tram. They do so in the case the tram stops and passengers need to be rescued.

This year, one of the practice rescue-ees (is that a word?) was Portland Trailblazers mascot Blaze.

We were happy to see Blaze in the air on Sunday…lets hope we also get to see him in the Rose Garden this year.
