All Fructose…All the Time?

While having a meal with the kids this past weekend, I spotted this list of ingredients on a “Honey Sauce” packet – where honey is #4 in the list of ingredients.

(none of us ate this by the way)

The fructose-heavy food reminded me of some recent news from OHSU explaining how the brain reacts differently to the popular ingredient when compared to other sugars.

As you may know, many believe that fructose intake is related to the current obesity epidemic, which is why many researchers are looking into the connection.
