Streamlined Requesting from NW Academic Libraries (Summit)

The OHSU Library is a member of Orbis Cascade Alliance, a consortium of academic libraries in the Northwest. One of the major benefits of membership is you can borrow books and videos through the Summit catalog, which contains the holdings of all Orbis Cascade Alliance members. The next iteration of the Summit catalog will appear on Tuesday, January 20th. Some benefits of this development are the requesting interface for consortium materials will be more streamlined, and users will be able to track their requests within “My Account.”

Beginning on January 20th, you will now place your Summit requests directly from within the OHSU Library’s catalog. When you click the “Request from a NW Academic Library” option, the requesting form will be automatically populated within the catalog frame. You will then be able to select your Pickup/Delivery Location and submit the request. The status of your requests can be monitored under your “My Account” view.

If you have any questions or problems requesting materials using the new Summit requesting interface, please contact the Library Service Desk or call at 503-494-3460.
