Oregon Healthy WorkForce Center First Meeting

ORhwc 10-11 lunch i

Oregon Healthy WorkForce Center Lunch i

The Oregon Healthy WorkForce Center (ORhwc) met today for the first time to build relationships, explore how projects and staff can work together, discuss ideas about seminar, symposium and summer institute themes and speakers, and … to celebrate being named one of four NIOSH Centers of Excellence in Total Worker Health.  We are getting down to the hard work of carrying out our precious mandate to improve Total Worker Health in Oregon and the nation.  Translation and dissemination is our most important objective and challenge for our outreach and education programs.

Shown in the pictures are Center faculty and staff from:

• OHSU/Division of Health Promotion and Sports Medicine
• Portland State University/Occupational Health Psychology
• Center for Health Research (Portland)
• University of Oregon/Labor Education and Research Center (LERC)
