The search for the P1-type ATPases was conducted in the NCBI Genebank, Protein databank and SwissProt database and cross-checked for the presence of duplicate sequences. The resulting 251 sequences were aligned with ClustalW program with default settings, and the alignment was used to produce a phylogenetic tree with TREEVIEW. The assignment of metal specificity to groups in the phylogenetic tree was based on available experimental information for individual members of each group. (Please email Svetlana Lutsenko at lutsenko@ohsu.edu for details on this project.)

60 Cu-transporting ATPAses that grouped together in the phylogenetic analysis. An alignment of these sequences was made with Clustal. The alignment is available in the HTML or PDF format.
The residues conserved >95% across the sequences are reported in the information on the individual transmembrane segments and the ATP7B (WNDP) mutations table.
