The Oregon Health & Science University is the state's only academic health center and is composed of the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing and the OGI School of Science and Engineering. Several affiliated institutes and clinics are located on the campus, including the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), Vollum Institute for Advanced Biomedical Research, the Center for Research on Occupational and Environmental Toxicology (CROET), Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, and three University Hospitals.
