Comprehensive Pain Center

 

Oregon Health and Science University is a nationally recognized academic health center and the only academic health center in Oregon. Its fundamental purpose is to improve human health through education, research, patient care and community outreach. Many of OHSU's health care professionals are experts in their specialty field and are available to local providers for consultation. The mission of the Comprehensive Pain Center is to reduce pain and suffering, maximize functional capacity, and enhance personal control to the fullest extent possible.

Comprehensive Pain Center’s Services

The OHSU Comprehensive Pain Center provides state-of-the-art treatment using the latest techniques. Following an interdisciplinary assessment by the center’s medical staff, a comprehensive plan of care is developed which may include physical therapists, a psychologist and/or :

Advanced interventional treatment modalities, such as:

– Fluoroscopically-guided nerve blocks
– Intrathecal pumps
– Spinal cord stimulators
– Intradiscal Electrothermal Therapy

Advanced pharmacological consultations

Rehabilitation focused pain management
