Dr. Anna Long
began her work as a Postdoctoral Fellow in our
clinical research group on September 11. She is
collaborating with Dr. Tonya Palermo on a study
entitled “Web-Based Cognitive Behavioral Treatment
for Chronic Pain in Children.” Dr. Long’s previous
research includes 1) the role of somatic symptoms in
health-related quality of life for children with
chronic pain and 2) the impact that parenting and
coping had on the effects of the 9/11 terrorist
attacks on children.
In June 2006, she was awarded the Ph.D. from the
Child Clinical Psychology Graduate Program at the
University of Washington in Seattle. She likes to
cross-country ski and to explore the shops and
eateries in her NW Portland neighborhood.
