Dr. Brett Stacey came to Oregon
Health & Science University (OHSU) in 1996. He is
Medical Director of the Comprehensive Pain Center at
OHSU as well as Associate Professor in the
Department of Anesthesiology and Peri-Operative
Medicine and Division Chief of Pain Medicine.
The majority of Dr. Stacey’s
clinical, research and educational efforts is
devoted to the treatment of patients with acute and
chronic pain. He is widely published and is
currently managing several ongoing research projects
that focus on neuropathic pain.
Dr. Stacey is a native of
Colorado and received his undergraduate degree from
The Colorado College in Colorado Springs. He earned
his medical degree from the University of Michigan
Medical School and finished an internship at Henry
Ford Hospital. He then completed his anesthesiology
residency and pain training at the University of
Pittsburgh where he joined the faculty and was
eventually appointed Medical Director of the Pain
Evaluation and Treatment Institute.
