Dr. Friess is an assistant professor. He specializes in trauma and adult reconstruction, and has a special interest in non-union and musculoskeletal infections.
Clinical Interests: Acute fractures of the extremities and fractures of the pelvis and acetabulum. Complex periarticular (around a joint) fractures. Chronic musculoskeletal nonunions and infections.
Research Interests: Fracture healing and cartilage injury after trauma, particularly when injured areas show the effects of environmental toxins and tobacco smoking.
