Flex

The third year residents have one month designated as a flex month in which they must stay in Portland to cover vacation call but are allowed to arrange elective time to explore areas that interest them. Previous topics have included genetics, vaginal ultrasound, minimally invasive surgery, and infertility. Most residents get a significant amount of work on their research project done during the flex month.
