Emanuel Hospital

Year 2—high risk OB
Year 3—benign gynecology

Emanuel Hospital has a busy group of private practice perinatologists who work very closely with the OHSU family medicine residents and the OBGYN R2 who are assigned to labor and delivery there. The FP residents generally manage the low risk patients and the R2 manages the high risk patients. One resident is on in house call each night, either an OBGYN or FP resident through an assigned rotation schedule.

The R3 scrubs with a variety of private practice groups, many of whom are ex-OHSU residents themselves. This rotation gives residents a glimpse of the usual scope of practice of a generalist obgyn physician
