Antepartum
The Antepartum rotation provides residents with an exciting approach to both outpatient and inpatient perinatal management. The resident team consists of an intern and a third year resident. They attend morning and evening obstetrical rounds. In addition, both residents attend high risk obstetrical clinic four mornings a week. The residents also have the opportunity to review the non stress tests, biophysical profiles, and perinatal ultrasounds of their patients. The antepartum attending also provides relevant education during walk rounds and in the afternoon small group sessions. With the exposure to all of these activities the residents will learn the management of preterm labor, PPROM, preeclampsia remote from term, IUGR, and other interesting perinatal complications.
