The Sleep Medicine Fellowship training program is a highly multidisciplinary American Council of Graduate Medical Education- accredited one-year sleep fellowship program with faculty from neurology, otorhinolaryngology, child and adult psychiatry, child and adult pulmonary medicine, general pediatrics, and dental sleep medicine.
The fellowship, which is administered through the OHSU Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine, accepts two fellows per academic year from all eligible disciplines with recent graduates coming from pulmonary, critical care, anesthesiology, neurology, pediatrics and psychiatry.
Fellows participate in the very active clinical programs and sleep laboratories of both the Oregon Health & Science University and the Portland Veterans Administration Medical Center. A rigorous schedule of fellow-oriented didactic sessions, sleep conferences, journal clubs and polysomnography reviews are held throughout the academic year.
Participation in research is expected with fellows choosing either a project of their own design or by participating in ongoing faculty research.
