Our Mission
The Center for Diversity and Multicultural Affairs (CeDMA) provides OHSU with vision and leadership pertaining to diversity and cultural issues. CeDMA also serves as a resource to the institution as it seeks to promote cultural diversity within its teaching, research and service mission. CeDMA welcomes your thoughts, suggestions, and recommendations to promote inclusiveness and mutual understanding. |

"Conscious of the dynamic changes in demographics that our country has experienced during the past few decades, Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) is taking bold steps to better address the needs of its students, faculty, staff, and the communities that they serve. OHSU recognizes the importance of building a broadly diverse campus where individuals can find enrichment in each other's background, life experiences, ethnic and cultural origin.
As a result, it has created a Center for Diversity and Multicultural Affairs that has been charged with the function and responsibility to assist the diversity of the campus, knit culture into the fiber of the organization as another factor of collegiality and enrichment, and promote a climate of cultural integration on the campus through the understanding of the value and contributions that each one brings into the institution.
Our goal is to establish the Center for Diversity and Multicultural Affairs as a support/service center that fosters diversity as a factor of institutional enrichment, excellence of performance, and conducive to a pleasant workplace environment for all members of the OHSU family."
