What is Constitution Day?

By federal law effective in 2005, September 17th has been dedicated as a national day of celebration commemorating the signing of the U.S. Constitution. Along with all other educational institutions and schools, OHSU is required to provide educational programming and information that will inform students and our community, in addition to stimulating more inquiry, regarding this important founding document of our nation.

OHSU has chosen to observe Constitution Day by providing students and the OHSU community with internet resources and materials related to the establishment of the constitution, and other concepts and documents that support our form of government and the legal system that sustains it. We hope that you find these materials to be informative and helpful as we celebrate this important date.
